Tube production
Depending on the dimension of the final product, the tubes are subject to various finishing processes.
The hot finish at up to 1300° C allows dimensions of 60 - 250 mm in diameter and a wall thickness of 3 - 25 mm. Here the extruding process is utilized, which worldwide prevailed for the production of high-alloyed steel tubes for decades.
The cold finish, however, also allows the production of smallest dimensions with an outside diameter to 6 mm. The further advantages of the cold finish are first-class surface quality and dimensional accuracy.
